It has drifted more northerly on it's trajectory, that just means it will hit the middle of the Florida coastline instead of the bottom of the Florida peninsula! That is the ONLY news!
I'm being a bit facetious, but we are a week away from finding out! We will have an indication prior to the anticipated event! But, keep in mind that there is not even a warning out for the impending doom, because it does not EVEN qualify to be a tropic storm yet!
Whatever happens just will happen! There is not a blessed thing we can do about it!

I am expecting it too hot for golf today, or so it says my friend. I cannot play golf anymore because of my handicap. Or could it my age!
Well, we have a Tropical system that MIGHT strike Florida's eastern shores! We cannot say for sure, because it is too early yet. The three new ones I mentioned yesterday are still out there, but haven't fully developed yet, so who what they have in mind for us!
I know that I am going to be a nervous wreck before this hurricane season is over! Who thought that I could write a daily logue anyway?

Well, we have activity in the Atlantic! We have time for this one, because it will be a week out! What concerns us that there is one right on the heels of this one! According to the predictions this may be the pattern for this season!
Nothing is being said about Lee, or Leslie that the list of names says! We may be in for the time of our life if the predictions hold true! Storms can enter from the Gulf at any point, so be alert!
THERE IS TOO MUCH INFORMATION THAT IS UNRELIABLE AND CHANGES IN STORMS!!!
Nevermore has been an onslaught of ever changing weather patterns, too much information, and too much MIS information that makes it impossible to rely on ANY information anymore, let alone storms!!!
The information age has reached a critical mass OVERLOAD and the need for ACCURATE information no longer exists! This is a sad situation and no remedy is in sight! The days that you can rely on any source to "take to the bank" is gone, maybe forever!

Right before Lee, Imalia struck the Southern States with lots of rain and minimum damage. That is how we got to Lee! August is the one to watch out for, going into September, in the peak hurricane season!

Lee is the twelfth named storm this season! It took just over three weeks to get between Beryl and Lee. Of course Beryl reeked havoc for two weeks! I wonder what's in store for Lee? We'll see!!!

" I HAD A MEMORY TO LOOK BACK ON " WAS THE FIRST FACEBOOK POST THAT I SAW THIS MORNING!
I didn't have that one in mind when I saw it! No, that memory reached back to 1947 when I was in first grade! I had a friend over that I was really getting to know, even though I had him in my Sunday School class. I mean "really" getting to know, him outside of a limited exposure in Sunday School.
"SALLIE GAL" was the name of my childhood doll. I remember an incident that Charles and I were playing tag football in the front yard where the grass was. We had just gone into the house to get a glass of lemonade out of the "Frigidaire". After we had our glasses filled we went into my room. There sitting there on my bed was Sallie Gal! His reaction was immediate, that he teased me still had a "baby doll" in my bed!
After his teasing, I had no choice but to lie and tell him that I had meaning to get rid of it for a while! That day was the last time I saw my Sallie Gal!
There is no change in the Atlantic. I will post when I have a change.
That begs the question of what caused it! I have no idea what program does that so I could cut it off! I know it is responsible for it, a memory card in my Dell! They don't come with instructions, though!

I AM EXCITED THIS MORNING BECAUSE THE DAY I AM GETTING NEW TEETH AND I WON'T HAVE TO EAT PULVERIZED FOOD ANYMORE AND CAN HAVE THINGS LIKE A STEAK!!!
I will have to start out slowly to "break them in", as my Daddy would say about new cars! New teeth are like a new car, in a way, because you get to "show them off", like you would in a new car! I doubt that new teeth don't have that same "new car smell" though!
I haven't thought about it though. Do new teeth have a smell? I am entering the "ridiculous zone" now!

LATE JULY AND AUGUST ANTICIPATES ACTIVE WEATHER!!!
Africa spawns all our storms in the Atlantic. It looks like a major storm is brewing just inland in Africa! I would not be surprised if it enters the Atlantic as already a hurricane! It is hard to predict what it will do after entering the Atlantic, but the size of it now tells me that it has the potential to become a major hurricane! That is if it doesn't fool us and falls apart, and I think it's highly unlikely!
Trump finally a announced his choice for his running mate as Vice President! His candidate, J. D. Vance, once compared him to Hitler! That was a while back, but sets the tone for his role as Vice President. I believe he will act as a buffer to Trump to keep him on track, in the big picture. I think Trump was genius to pick him!
Lets hope and pray that the upcoming storms will be not so severe and Trump sails on to victory!

I have lived my almost 83 years and I have seen it all! From World War II to the assassination attempt on Trump's life, yes, I have seen it all! I have lived through many assassination attempts on Presidents and their candidacies, now including Trump! I am surprised that his ear was only grazed!
My daughter reminded me that a higher power at work here. If Trump was not killed is that God is not through with him and His purpose for Him. We don't know what His plan is for Trump, but I believe that it might painful in the beginning, but everything will be alright in the end!

My hearing must be above average to have heard what I heard a few nights ago! I thought I could here the wailing of a siren, but I must have heard an emergency vehicle or fire truck. I began to hear it clearer again and the rise and fall of a tornado siren was definitely was hearing!
I felt I needed to tell my daughter and son in law because I knew they couldn't hear them over the TV in their room. So I got up from my chair and walked with my walker their room. I tapped on their door and they responded. I told them about the siren and they didn't believe me!
Nevertheless, my daughter got up to investigate. She opened the front door and said, "See, I don't hear a siren! We can hear ours over the TV and besides, we have no warnings of any kind or even a watch! I don't know what you thought you heard, but it wasn't our tornado siren, so I wouldn't worry about it!"
We I was miffed because I knew that I had heard a wailing siren! It may have been set off accidently, but seemed unlikely!
My daughter, this morning, from four days ago, she was reading about a tornado that mentioned West Point! Upon investing further she discovered that indeed had touched down on West Point Lake! That had a picture of it that had someone had captured it going across the lake!
Well, I received my vindication that confirmed that I had indeed heard the siren the other night! My daughter said that the next time my keen hearing prevailed, she would take heed!
OOPS...I THINK MAYBE MADE A MISTAKE POSTING TOO EARLY YESTERDAY! THERE WERE 3 TORNADOS IN NEW YORK, NOT ONLY ONE LIKE I SAID!
Beryl was supposed to stall out before entering the Atlantic! If it did, nobody is saying say so! All I'm getting is tropical activity news. We should be getting hurricane Debby in about a week, or not! Of course, the concentrated Sahara dust is going to be present for a while to keep the hurricanes at bay for a week or so.
We do not have in store for us in the hurricane season! If we have a repeat of Beryl...I don't want to think about it! I know for sure that we won't know when the next one will be, but it will be whatever it is will be, nothing more or less! I'm counting on less!
Sometimes no news is nothing more than no news! I did see that New York reported a tornado! That is unusual, but Beryl had to get his two cents in since he was leaving for good, but four more on the way in the Atlantic!
My nerves are shot for covering the historic Beryl! I don't know if I can cover another one, if it comes up! I think it is sad that we have to cover these events anyway!

128 DEGREES WAS THE TEMPERATURE IN DEATH VALLEY YESTERDAY, BREAKING THE RECORD OF 120 DEGREES, WHICH HAS STOOD FOR MANY YEARS!
We have been nearing record temperatures throughout the country for some time now, will brief cooler days occasionally. What that means we will leave to the scholars.
With more torrential rains, high winds and tornado warnings, Beryl marches on, FOLLOWED BY A HEAT DOME! It is nearing Texas now and promises to cover the country before it's over! Remnants of Beryl will continue wreaking havoc ahead of this heat dome, with a tornado outbreak is forecast!
Four more tropical disturbances have entered the Atlantic! Who knows what's in store for us if they don't fall apart! I shudder to think about it!

BERYL MAKES LANDFALL IN MATAGORDA, TEXAS, AT 4AM!
It made landfall as a Category 1 hurricane packing damaging winds, storm-surge flooding, heavy rain and a tornado threat! It will bring diminishing winds as he travels inland but heavy rains will continue for a good while as he continues on his travels in the Mississippi and Ohio Valleys and the Great Lakes.
There is bit of good news, thanks to a wave of dust-laden Saharan air in the atmosphere that appears to inhibit tropical development for the next week or so. After Beryl that is a break in Atlantic activity that is a welcome sight.
TROPICAL STORM WARNINGS ARE UP IN TEXAS FROM BROWNSVILLE TO GALVESTON! HURRICANE IS EXPECTED!
BERYL is not through with us yet! The storm surge of 4 to 6 feet may be worse than the winds! Rip currents impacts are already present all across the Texas coast! Rain of 6 to 10 inches is predicted, but it be as high as 15 inches in areas!
Tropical storm force winds and rain showers should reach Brownsville by mid-morning Sunday and Corpus Christie by early to mid-afternoon and spreading to Houston and Galveston by evening. Prediction of it feeling felt as far as Alabama and Tennessee holds.
This is a week of much activity from the eastern Atlantic to over 3000 miles later now in Texas! Our prayers hope that the predictions of a season of more to come like BERYL will not materialize!

BERYL TAKES A RIGHT TURN ON THE WAY TO TEXAS! AFTER LEAVING TEXAS, HE WILL WIND HIS WAY THROGH SEVERAL STATES FROM ARKANSAS TO ALABAMA AND TENNESSEE!
He is expected to be a Category 1 hurricane when lands in Texas. By the time he leaves Texas, he will be only a tropical storm. He will carry lots of rain as he goes. Watch out for flash flooding, which is likely!
We have a couple days to follow the record breaking Beryl, the hurricane from Hell!
Still packing winds of 120 mph, a dangerous Category 2 hurricane!
It's next move is unknown. It seems to be wavering a bit, which it could put it as far north as Texas. But we know that hurricanes can do strange things! We will know, as the day progresses, his direction will become more clear!

I AM FOLLOWING BERYL TO SEE WHAT HE WILL DO NEXT! NOT TO WISH BAD LUCK ON ANYBODY, BUT STILL PRAYING THAT HE WILL NOT TAKE A NORTHERLY ROUTE! I THINK I COULD SURVIVE, BUT I WOULD RATHER HE WOULD KEEP ON THE PATH HE IS ON SO HE WILL LOSE ENOUGH STRENGTH TO DO NO HARM!
Beryl is showing signs of becoming less of a threat this morning! Her winds are down to 140 mph from 165 mph at her peak. DOWN TO! IT'S SO STRANGE TO SAY THAT! Most hurricanes never reach 140, fortunately!
I will continue to monitor her progress, but am hoping the worst is over! There is no earth-shaking news except that finally, on the final day of their session, the Supreme Court granted Trump limited immunity! It covers to include OFFICIAL ACTS, but unofficial acts. The outcome was not unexpected, because past Presidents were exempt while in office. This was the first time, however, the SCOTUS addressed the issue.
Just keep your eye on Beryl!
WELL, WE ARE NOW PART OF HISTORY! BERYL HAS REACHED CATEGORY 5 FOR THE FIRST TIME IN RECORDED HISTORY !!!
Beryl reached that with sustained winds of 165 mph moving at 22 mph in a WNW direction. It made landfall as a Category 4 on the small island of Carriacou, Grenada. "Within 30 minutes it was flattened", according to the Grenada Prime Minister Dickon in a news briefing! No casualties have been reported, but can change.
This is going to be my only post for today because of Beryl!
Beryl is on track to strike the Windward Islands and strengthened to a Category 4 hurricane! This is unprecedented! Never before one has reached a Category 4 in recorded history this early in the season!
Mt. Saint Helens continues to have some activity. Unless Beryl is an indication of more to come for the World as well hurricanes and Volcanos, I do not expect a repeat of the last eruption! On the other hand I have been wrong before!
