Art can be controversial and often misinterpreted. For example, if I were to paint a picture of an ancient building with columns and Roman architecture, one might think it was a government building where the Senate met to conduct Roman business. Actually, it is an ancient Temple carved out of rock in the side of a hill. Those wanted to meet for worship they met there, because no other place existed.
An artist might display his artworks in a Gallery, where no one is available for interpretation. One’s ability to they to view art as being seen in their mind’s eye, no interpretation is necessary.
